In this episode of The Plant Trainers Podcast, we talk with Andy Nevers about masculinity, the Marines, becoming plant-based, and making connections through Plantarion. Andy shares with us how documentaries changed his whole life and helped him become plant-based, vegan, and how he joined the movement. We explore how masculinity and nutrition can have certain expectations, especially for big military personalities. He proudly joined the United States Marine Corps in 2004, where he served a total of eight years as an active duty Marine. He walks us through what nutrition is like in the field and if being vegan in certain areas is even an option.

Andy Nevers is the Founder and CEO of a DC-based tech startup company called Plantarion. His company is on a mission to help make the world a healthier place. In addition to helping people reap the health benefits of plant-based living, Andy’s startup is working with various organizations to help with eliminating animal cruelty associated with factory farming, as well as help our environment by reducing our carbon footprint.

His startup company is achieving its mission by offering plant-based lifestyle support services by listing a variety of plant-based service providers on its platform. This includes plant-based chefs, nutritionists, dietitians, health + wellness coaches, integrative + lifestyle practitioners, and more. Andy is a proud father to a thirteen-year-old daughter. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending local events, traveling, watching movies, and listening to music of all genres.
